Fossils result from the death of an animal that took place millions of years ago. The soft parts of the animal rot quickly, and the bones or shell are scattered by scavenging animals. Some of these remains are buried in mud or sand. If these are not disturbed in any way, more mud is deposited until the remains are deeply buried. Under great pressure from deposits above, the mud eventually compacts into sedimentary rock. Sometimes a fossil will retain the shape and structure of the hard parts of the animal, such as fossilized dinosaur bones. Others are just impressions of an animal or plant.

A star is a huge ball of bright hot gases. Stars contain a great deal of hydrogen which is their main source of energy. They also contain various other gases and elements such as helium, oxygen, iron, nickel and zinc. Stars come into existence in the vast clouds of dust and gas that move through space. They begin to form when a large number of gas particles whirl together within such a cloud. These particles attract more particles, and as the group gradually gets larger and larger, its gravitational pull gets stronger and they form a giant ball of gas.

The earth is a big sphere made up of rock. The inside is molten rock, but the outside cover is hard rock. The outside of the earth is a crust of rock, called the lithosphere, about 10 to 30 miles thick. All the water on the surface is called the hydrosphere. The crust of the earth has 2 layers: the upper layer made of granite, and a thicker lower layer made of basalt. Between the central ball and rocky crust is a shell about 2000 miles thick called the mantle. At the core, the temperature is believed to be as high as 10.000 ◦ F.

Although we cannot fully explain light, we can measure it quite accurately. We have a good idea of how fast light travels. As a light year is merely the distance that a beam of light will travel in a year, the real discovery was to measure the speed of light. In our own time, Professor Albert Michelson spent years trying to determine the exact speed of light. He arrived at a speed of 186,284 miles/sec. If we multiply this speed by the seconds in a year, we would find that light travels at 5,880,000,000,000 miles in a year which is called a light year.

Passiveness – Many think that excessive politeness, shyness, and respectfulness are a positive thing and it is normal for someone to possess these characteristics. Be that as it may, a growing number of evidence supports the idea that passiveness as a result of fear (sometimes unexplained), low self-esteem and self-confidence is consistent with a person experiencing episodes of panic attack.

Hyperventilation syndrome – Mouth breathing and over-breathing or exhaling more carbon dioxide with respect to the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream can result to symptoms including dizziness, lightheadedness, and rapid heartbeat. These symptoms, in turn trigger panic attacks.
